SCREENWRITER | FILM DIRECTOR | PRODUCER
Courtney JáPaul Glaudé is the very definition of a storyteller. A writer, director, and producer, Glaudé grew up in Houston’s 5th Ward where he experienced bullying and abuse. To endure the harassment, Glaudé escaped into his imagination, sparking his passion for filmmaking. Glaudé revels in creating atmospheres and inspiring emotion. He executes his visionary ideas with a deft hand, vividly translating stories and feelings to film. His passion is undeniable as he consistently creates quality films including well-developed characters, unpredictable storylines, and jarring visuals to match.
His bold, unapologetic approach and culmination of personal experiences have resulted in several projects. Glaudé wrote and produced the short films: “ROW” and “Pit Stop.” Both are currently on the film festival circuit, with "Row" receiving recognition at the Los Angeles Short Film Festival (LASFF) for Best Drama 2017. Clearly, Glaudé has embraced the diversity of Houston by captivating the audiences of every age and culture. His highly anticipated feature film debut, “BLINK,” will premiere in AMC theaters in Houston March 2-9.
An inimitable talent, Courtney JáPaul Glaudé doesn't let himself be constrained by any particular genre. Now in production, the crime series, “Rock-A-Bye,” will move audiences; and animated short "Off the Shelf" is currently in pre-production. He is a self taught filmaker and owns production company Green Eyed Theater. Without a doubt, we are witnessing greatness form in Houston.
